Narumon tipped to be named another Trade Representative

By Thai Newsroom Reporters

AN OUTSPOKEN NARUMON PINYOSINWAT will likely be named another Thailand Trade Representative very shortly, government sources said today (Oct.2).

The former deputy labour minister and former government spokeswoman is largely speculated to join Nalinee Taveesin who has already been named Thailand Trade Representative by Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.

Nalinee had earlier served that particular position in a previous government under deposed prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

A maximum of five persons may concurrently perform as Thailand Trade Representative with divided responsibilities pertaining to international trade and investment affairs.

Narumon has recently resigned as treasurer of the coalition partner Palang Pracharath where she has been personally associated with party leader Prawit Wongsuwan and party secretary-general/agriculture & cooperatives minister Thammanat Prompao.
