METROPOLITAN police this morning (Aug. 13) alerted road users that “car mob” protesters are gathering at Mo Chit BTS station then heading for the headquarters of Bhumjaithai and Pheu Thai parties on Phaholyothin and Phetchaburi roads respectively, Naewna newspaper said.
The roads that the “car mob” procession of automobiles and motorcycles will be passing through are key routes of the metropolis where there is usually heavy traffic with road users urged to avoid them and take parallel routes from 1 p.m. till the demonstration ends for their own convenience.
The routes affected by today’s demonstration are as follows:
– To Bhumjaithai headquarters: Phaholyothin road (Mo Chit BTS station) – Lat Phrao intersection – Ratchayothin intersection – Kaset intersection (Bhumjaithai Party);
– From Bhumjaithai head office to Pheu Thai head office: Phaholyothin road (Bhumjaithai Party) – U-turn in front of the Royal Forestry Department – left at Ratchayothin intersection – Ratchadaphisek road – left at Asoke Phetchaburi intersection – Phetchaburi road – U-Turn at LPG pump – (Pheu Thai Party).
Police advised road users that they should consider using public transport today if they have to pass through these two routes.
Moreover traffic police will be on hand to facilitate traffic flow and help the public so that there is least impact on the traffic condition.
