THE PROGRESSIVE Movement denied their chairman Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit had flown to Hong Kong to hold talks with former prime minister and de facto Pheu Thai Party leader Thaksin Shinawatra, Naewna newspaper said this afternoon (July 26).
Ms. Pannika Wanich, an executive of this group, said it is not true that Thanathorn, who is also Move Forward Party’s campaign assistant, had gone to Hong Kong to negotiate the setting up of a government with Thaksin.
This is not possible because Thanathorn is right here in Bangkok, she added.
She also said that there is currently a lot of news on Thaksin’s return to Thailand with the latest date being August 10.
This morning Thaksin’s daughter and one of three Pheu Thai candidates for prime minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra posted a message on her Facebook page on the occasion of Thaksin’s birthday that he will be returning to Thailand on August 10 and landing at Don Mueang Airport.
