BANGKOK-BORN World Wakeskate 2022 Champion Daniel Grant was summoned and charged with endangering vehicles and people for wakeskating on flooded Phaholyothin road, Sanook.com said this afternoon (Sept. 13).
Grant, 24, posted a video clip of himself wakeskating on floodwater in front of Bangkok University in Khlong Luang district of Pathum Thani on Facebook
Accompanying caption says, “September Week 1 🌧 Bangkok is flooding! 😲#WakeskateWednesday in the streets!”
Pol. Lt. Col. Suchai Saengsong, deputy head for investigation at Klong Luang police station, said Grant showed up to hear charges filed against him for endangering vehicles and people under Highway Act of 1992, Sections 39 and 72 and Road Traffic Act, Section 114.
He confessed to all the charges and was fingerprinted then handed over to the prosecutors to file a lawsuit against him at Thanyaburi Provincial Court.
Grant said he did not intend to obstruct traffic or endanger people but there were no cars passing at that time.
