WITH unofficial result of Bangkok governor election after 73.82% of the votes had been counted by 9.10 p.m. showing former transport minister Chadchart Sittipunt in the lead with 1,000,387 votes, he later said that he would continue the good projects launched by former governor Aswin Kwanmuang, Matichon said.
Chadchart also thanked Asawin for taking care of Bangkok for five years, five months and five day while mentioning that bus stops need improvement and canals dredging.
He emphasised that he would not take political sides and asked people not to be divided on the left or right because everyone differed in all dimensions, with there being various shades.
Where Bangkok is concerned, Chadchart underscored that he would coordinate with all sides because people may get angry and fight but everyone must still walk together.
With 73.82% of votes from 5,032 out of a total 6,817 polling stations counted the top four runners are as follows:
1) Mr. Chadchart, running as an independent, 1,000,387 votes.;
2) Mr. Suchatvee Suwansawat, Democrat Party, 185,143 votes;
3) Mr. Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn, former Move Forward Party MP, 184,073 votes;
4) Mr. Sakoltee Phattiyakul, former deputy Bangkok governor running as an independent, 169,524 points.
