THE case of the drowning of actress Pataratida Patcharawirapong, or Tangmo Nida, in Chao Phraya river last Thursday night took a new turn this morning (Mar. 2) when her friend and manager Gatick Idsarin was allegedly caught lying that she did not know how to swim thus could not jump into the river to save her life, TV Channel 7 said.
In front of the media at Nonthaburi police station Gatick had apologised to Tangmo Nida’s mother, Mrs. Panida Siriyuthyothin, when she was asked why she only came to discuss the case four days after the actress had drowned.
During the discussion Panida asked Gatick why she did not jump in to save her life and she replied, “Mum I can’t swim.”
However overnight Thai netizens found a video clip of Gatick swimming very well with her daughter on Instagram, downloaded and shared it with this triggering a storm of criticism,
This morning this TV station’s news team searched Instagram for this video clip but could not find it.
