AFTER popular Hollywood star Zac Efron shared a photo of himself in Phuket on Instagram to mark his birthday with a message saying how happy he was in Thailand Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s spokesman came out to thank him for doing so, Amarin TV said today (Oct. 21).
The star is here for the filming of the movie “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” together with megastar Russell Crowe with this being directed by Peter Farrelly.
A couple of days ago Russell Crowe too shared several beautiful photos of both Phuket and Bangkok on Twitter.
In his message Zac Efron said, “It’s my bday again? I’m gettin old now- thanks for the bday wishes everyone I love you. I am so lucky to be able to be on this amazingly fun ride with you all.
“This one feels very special as I get to spend it in Thailand, alongside the most talented and kind cast and crew, making a movie that I think will be awesome… couldn’t be a happier moment in my life. Love you all so much.”

This photo and message got 2.310 likes with the actor having 49.7 million followers on this social media platform.
Later Mr. Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office, thanked the actor for doing so.
The spokesman also mentioned a survey by UK-based travel website Holidu that produced a list of the best cities for a workation with the top spot going to Bangkok and Chiang Mai and Phuket also placing in the top 10.
Other cities that made it to the top 10 include New Delhi, India; Lisbon, Portugal; Barcelona, Spain; and Buenos Aires, Argentina. But Thailand is the only Southeast Asian country to make it to the top 10.Â
Prayut urged all sectors to prepare for the reopening of the country to tourists on November 1 and emphasised that all businesses/activities must comply with public health measures for the safety of both Thai and foreign tourists.
