Rider badly injured after being hit by train near Makkasan station

A DELIVERY rider was severely injured upon being hit by a train on Kamphaengphet 7 road where the Chachoengsao line passes and close to Makkasan railway station at around 10.30 a.m. this morning (May 19), PPTVHD36 said.

Pol. Lt. Chanach Prada, deputy traffic inspector at Makkasan police station, said the injured delivery rider had parked his motorcycle to run a personal errand and just as he was returning to his motorbike he was struck by the approaching train.

He may not have heard the train because he was wearing headphones and a full-face helmet.

Inquiries regarding the train driver’s actions revealed that he was operating the train normally and upon reaching the scene, the injured person crossed the track from the Airport Link station to the other side where he had parked his motorcycle at a hotel and was hit leading to severe injuries.
