THE Second Army Region said today (Nov. 24) that it has discovered Cambodian soldiers are now using casino buildings along the border as a military base to deploy drones for operations in Thai territory, Amarin TV said.
Currently, Khmer units are sending these drones to spy on the Thai side with these casino buildings, which have been built with concrete, providing good cover.
Meanwhile the Thai Burma Death Railway Facebook page shared photos of Khmer soldiers with rolls of barbed wire which they had dismantled and seized along the border at O’Smach town, Oddar Meanchey province, adjacent Thailand’s Chong Chom town in Surin province.
They also jeered at Thai troops saying the barbed wire rolls will be sold as scrap while also saying that “Siamese thieves are only good at rolling out barbed wire on other people’s land.”
Additionally, Khmer Times news outlet reported that National Labour Federation of Cambodia President Sam Soeun has submitted a petition condemning seven black-uniformed Thai soldiers over alleged rape of an 18-year-old Cambodian woman worker on Nov. 15 as she was returning home.
In the petition handed to the embassies of the United States, the European Union, China, Russia, and the United Nations, Sam Soeun asked for international intervention and independent investigation into the alleged case.
