Red Shirts gather at Supreme Court to support Thaksin

RED-SHIRT followers gathered at the Supreme Court in Sanam Luang early this morning (Sep. 9) in support of de facto  Pheu Thai boss Thaksin Shinawatra as a verdict in a lawsuit against him for his alleged six-month fakeout at Police Hospital will be delivered at 10 a.m., Naewna newspaper said this evening.

Both Thaksin and the commander of Bangkok Remand prison have been summoned to hear the verdict by the Supreme Court judges in charge of criminal lawsuits against persons in political positions.

This lawsuit was filed against Thaksin and others on charges of conspiring to take legal loopholes and perpetrating a six-month-long fakeout at Police Hospital in lieu of being literally put behind bars to otherwise serve a curtailed, one-year jail sentence at Bangkok Remand prison until he was released on parole early last year.
