Fire at five-star hotel in Chiang Mai 

 

ONE of the buildings at Chiang Mai’s famous five-star hotel Dhara Dhevi caught fire overnight and while this has been controlled to a limited area by 4 a.m. there are still flames in the inner area, Naewna newspaper said.

There were no reports of any casualties and firefighters worked hard at preventing the blaze from spreading to other areas.

The cause of the fire and level of damage is still not known. However the wooden part of the building has been completely destroyed,

As fire has not been completely extinguished, firemen are continuing to spray water to keep it in check.
