AN ARREST warrant has been issued for a Swiss man accused by a Thai woman doctor of having kicked her as she sat on the stairs leading from his villa to Phuket’s Cape Yamu beach in February last year, TV Channel 7 said today (Apr. 21).
Mr. Nipit Intarasombat said although the Court of First Instance had dismissed the case against Mr. Urs Fehr, or David, 46, he and public prosecutors had filed an appeal.
The Phuket Provincial Court had scheduled to read the verdict of Region 8 Appeals Court today but as the defendant did not show up an arrest warrant was issued for him while the hearing was postponed to May 23, 2025.
Earlier when reporters contacted Dr. Thandao Chandam, who is attached to Dibuk Hospital and had said she was kicked by the defendant as she sat on the stairs watching the moon on the night of Feb. 24, she refused to give any clarification.
