THE Earthquake Observation Division of the Thai Meteorological Department said there have been ten earthquakes and tremors from last night till today (Apr. 14) with nine epicentred in Myanmar and one in Thailand and the largest, measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, was approximately 10 kilometres from the Thai border.
Details of the ten earthquakes and tremors that followed the March 28 magnitude 8.2 earthquake felt across Thailand are as follows:
-10.45 a.m.: A 2.4 tremor occurred in Myanmar, 10km deep, around 42km southwest of Mueang district, Mae Hong Son province;
– 8.54 a.m.: A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck at a depth 10km in Myanmar, about 136km southwest of Mae Sariang district, Mae Hong Son province;
– 8.37 a.m.: A magnitude 2.0 tremor struck at a depth of 10km in Myanmar;
– 7.38 a.m.: A magnitude 3.4 earthquake struck at a depth of 10km in Myanmar;
– 3:42 a.m.: A magnitude 2.1 tremor struck at a depth of 10km in Myanmar;
– 3.02 a.m.: A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck at a depth of 10km in Myanmar;
– 1.56 a.m.: A magnitude 2.1 tremor struck at a depth of 10km in Myanmar;
– 1.20 a.m.: 2.2 magnitude tremor, 10km deep, occurred in Myanmar;
– 00.22 a.m.: 3.3 magnitude earthquake, 10km deep, occurred in Myanmar;
– 00:04 a.m.: 1.4 magnitude tremor, 1 km deep, occurred in San Sai subdistrict, Phrao district, Chiang Mai province.
There was a 5.9 magnitude earthquake at a depth of 10km in Myanmar yesterday, approximately 271 kilometres northwest of Mueang district, Mae Hong Son province with tremors felt in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai provinces, but there were no reports of damage
