Russian motorcyclist badly hurt in crash with sedan

 

A RUSSIAN man riding a motorcycle very fast down Pattaya Sai 3 road before dawn today (March 26) slammed into a sedan and got seriously injured, TV Channel 7 said.

At 5.19 a.m. Pol. Lt. Phupha Hongyakul, deputy chief for investigation at Pattaya City police station, was informed of this accident in front of an entertainment venue in Banglamung district, Chonburi, with the motorcyclist lying badly injured on the bonnet of the sedan. After calling Sawang Boriboon Dhammasathan rescuers he quickly took a team there to investigate.

At the scene they found Mr. Aleksanor Vasilev, 38, Russian nationality, lying on the bonnet of the sedan with his legs, hips, face and head injured and bleeding profusely. He was quickly rushed to Pattaya City Hospital.

Mr. Wirasak (surname withheld), 55, the driver of the sedan, said he had just left the entertainment venue and was about to change lanes in heading for Sue San intersection when a foreigner riding a large motorcycle sped down this same intersection and slammed into his vehicle. His body was thrown onto the bonnet and while he tried to brake he was not able to do so.

Police took photos of the crash and will be reviewing CCTV footage to determine the cause of this accident.
