A TOURIST BUS travelling on Phuket’s Karon-Patong road fell off a cliff today (Feb.1) injuring nine people including the driver, Naewna newspaper quote Facebook user Sorayuth Suthassanachinda, who identified himself as a news worker, as saying.
The accident occurred at 12.30 p.m. when the medium-sized 32-seat bus lost control and plunged down the cliff.
Police from Karon station, Tourist Police and Kusoldham rescue team quickly went to search for victims and found nine people injured with two of them being Thais, one of whom was the driver, and the others Chinese, Russians, and Germans.
They were taken to Patong Hospital for treatment.
