Many tourists hurt as bus slams into SUV at toll booth near Pattaya

 

A BUS carrying 37 Russian tourists to Pattaya lost control and rear-ended a sport utility vehicle at Pong toll booth this evening (Jan. 2) leading to 27 of the holidaymakers being injured, Amarin TV said.

The bus suddenly changed lanes and crashed into a Toyota Fortuner SUV causing severe damage to both vehicles.

Local officials quickly sent the 27 injured tourists to hospitals in Pattaya while the tour company arranged for a van to take the 10 unhurt to their accommodation at this seaside city.

Policemen and rescue workers rushed to inspect the damage and manage the traffic flow at the scene of the accident to prevent further mishaps.
