SUDARAT KEYURAPAN has resigned as Thai Sang Thai MP so the splinter party’s secretary-general Thakorn Tanthasit is taking her place at parliament.
Sudarat confirmed today (July 11) she has called it quits as an elected lawmaker to be replaced by the Thai Sang Thai secretary-general whilst she herself is still holding onto the post of party leader.
Sudarat and Thakorn contested the May 14 election as the No.1 and No.2 candidate respectively in party-listed mode which landed them a single MP seat in addition to five others won in constituency-based mode.
Nonetheless, the woman leader of the party which is one of the Move Forward-led, eight coalition partners will likely be given a cabinet seat.
