A FEW-MINUTE ROAD TRAFFIC halt by police in Songkhla to accommodate Sunday’s motorcade of caretaker prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has exponentially gone viral online.
A TikToker who happened to be among those motorists being temporarily stopped on the southern road by the local police produced a clip online to show the long motorcade bearing the Ruam Thai Sang Chart name and logo and consisting of over a dozen vans and SUVs flanking the one ridden by Prayut who is contesting the May 14 general election to prolong his rule under the ultra-conservative party’s tickets.
The clip shows a motorcyclist and a passenger, both wearing black jackets and helmets, keeping close to one side of Prayut’s vehicle.
The TikTok clip has gone viral with over one million views so far in two days and generated unwelcoming comments on other social media platforms.
No such road traffic condition has been reported to provide privileges for any VIPs other than Prayut during current electoral campaigns.
He was on his campaign trail to assist former MP Jua Ratchasee seeking re-election in Constituency 1 of Songkhla.
