Pregnant Paetongtarn could still go on campaign trail

By Thai Newsroom Reporters

A PREGNANT PAETONGTARN Shinawatra could still go on the stumps and probably be named one of a trio of Pheu Thai partisan candidates for head of a post-election government, confirmed party leader Chonlanan Srikaew today (Nov.12).

Getting pregnant throughout the next several months will by no means obstruct the youngest daughter of former prime minister/de facto Pheu Thai boss Thaksin Shinawatra from joining ranks with fellow electoral contestants running for MPs, according to the opposition party leader.

In today’s digital society, the pregnant Paetongtarn could not only travel to places on an electoral campaign trail but use social media at home and elsewhere to get her messages across to constituents nationwide, Chonlanan said.

He confirmed that the Pheu Thai Party will definitely name a trio of partisan contenders for prime minister with the probability of Paetongtarn being included.

Real estate businessman Settha Taweesin, viewed as personally close to former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra, is more or less expected to be among the Pheu Thai trio.

Thaksin who has been staying alongside Yingluck in self-exile overseas has earlier forecast the Pheu Thai contenders will score a landslide victory in the nationwide election, speculated early next year, so that, he said, they could subsequently become core of a coalition government and finally manage to bring him and his sister back home.

Thaksin has earlier expressed jubilation at the fact that he is now a grandfather of seven grandchildren whom, he said, he has eagerly planned to babysit after he has returned home.
