THE Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) executive committee today (May 20) allowed entertainment venues such as pubs, bars, karaoke lounges and massage parlours to reopen from June 1 onwards but only in blue and green provinces, Sanook.com said.
Dr. Taweesilp Visanuyothin, CCSA’s spokesman,said these venues are only allowed to stay open till midnight and customers may not linger on past the set closing time.
“Many people say, ‘the venue has been shut but the customers won’t leave’ and they then stay on till 1 a.m. or 2 a.m., this is not permitted. If there is anything still remaining, pack it and take it home because the venue has to shut,” he said.
He added that these establishments in the blue and green provinces have to get permission from Bangkok or provincial Communicable Disease Committee to reopen on top of the necessity of having a licence to operate.
The 17 blue provinces are as follows:
– Chiang Rai;
– Chiang Mai;
– Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat);
– Pathum Thani;
– Prachuap Khiri Khan;
The 14 green provinces are as follows:
– Chai Nat;
– Nakhon Phanom;
– Maha Sarakham;
– Surat Thani;
– Ang Thong;
– Udon Thani;
– Amnat Charoen.
