THE SUSPECT in the murder of a young woman at her condominium in Samut Prakan last Saturday was today (Dec. 29) taken for Samut Prakan Provincial Court for the first of seven investigative detention periods, Thai Rath newspaper said.
Arrested shortly after the death of Ms. Intu-on, 23, from a stab wound on her left thigh was co-resident Mr. Nathachai, or Bang, Arsamart, 31. He has been charged with breaking and entering at night and using force and a weapon to injure another person leading to her death, theft (the T-shirt he stole from the third floor laundery area after the murder), another charge of breaking and entering (the fifth floor unit he went in to change his T-shirt), and consuming category one drug (methamphetamine).
When Bang Phil police brought the suspect out to transfer him to the court for his detention he had been allowed to cover his face with a sheet of paper. Reporters at the scene asked him whether he had anything to say to the society but he kept quiet.
Police said after he had confessed they took him for a physical examination and the doctor said he had broken a bone in his right middle finger in the fight with the victim and put a cast on his hand and wrist.
