WHILE the Covid count dropped to 7,574 cases and 78 deaths today (Nov. 2) the Public Health Ministry said Bangkok continues to be the worst affected zone topping the list of 10 provinces with the most cases with 789 patients emerging over the 24 hours to 1 a.m., Amarin TV said.
Details are as follows:
1) Bangkok 789 cases, cumulative total 400,826;
2) Pattani 631 cases, cumulative total 37,822;
3) Nakhon Si Thammarat 407 cases, cumulative total 30,657;
4) Songkhla 401 cases, cumulative total 48,061;
5) Trang 298 cases, cumulative total 11,591;
6) Chiang Mai 271 cases, cumulative total 17,003;
7) Chonburi 264 cases, cumulative total 101,745;
8) Narathiwat 211 cases, cumulative total 36,880;
9) Phatthalung 200 cases, cumulative total 8,751;
10) Samut Prakan 187 cases, cumulative total of 122,912.
Meanwhile, of today’s 7,574 cases 6,793 emerged in surveillance and healthcare systems, 256 were found through proactive search in communities, 515 fell sick in prisons and detention centres and 10 foreign arrivals tested positive for this infection.
This takes the cumulative confirmed total since the start of the pandemic to 1,927,763.
Another 8,279 patients were cured taking total recoveries to 1,809,981 with 98,444 still undergoing treatment among whom 2,219 are in serious condition with 743 requiring ventilators.
The additional 78 fatalities raised the death toll to 19,338.
Altogether 76,226,116 doses of vaccines have been administered so far.
