THE Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) today (April 4) warned those at high-risk of contracting coronavirus after visiting nine pubs and other entertainment venues from where a new Covid cluster has emerged to immediately contact the health officials, Siam Rath newspaper said.
In his Facebook post, Pol. Capt. Pongsakorn Kwanmuang, BMA’s spokesperson, said this cluster consists of 45 cases with 40 being linked to visiting entertainment venues in Thonglor area and among them are both visitors and workers.
The nine place where Covid cases emerged are as follows:
Crystal Thonglor 25 pub, 21 cases;
Ban Phahon Cafe & Bar, Chatuchak, 3 cases;
Ekamai Beer House, 8 cases;
Barbarbar Thonglor and Dollar Bangkok, 5 cases;
The Cassette Music Bar Ekamai and Pub Dirty, 1 case;
The Emquatier, Sukhumvit 39, and The Emporium, 2 cases.
Twenty-six entertainment venue cases also emerged at three provinces adjacent to Bangkok – Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Pathom, – all linked to a pub in Rangsit area and the families of five infected musicians who played and visited several pubs in Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Pathom and Bangkok .
Those who visited these places are urged to log in to the Bangkok Covid-19 system at http://bkkcovid19.bangkok.go.th/. If the system reports that they are in the high-risk group, an official will contact them. Or call the Health Office Hotline 02-245-5964.
