THE Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced today (Dec. 13) that of the 17 new cases that emerged over the past 24 hours, nine came from Myanmar with five found to have not entered quarantine upon arrival, Amarin TV reported.
The addition of the new cases takes the total to 4,209, with 3,923 having recovered, while 226 remain under treatment and no additional deaths with the toll remaining at 60.
Four of the new arrivals were foriegn nationals with one each coming from the United States, Switzerland, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom while one Thai national each returned from the United States, Switzerland, Japan and Bahrain, and nine from Myanmar.
Meanwhile the Department of Disease Control today clarified that the co-owner of a unit at a popular condominium in the Sathorn-Tha Phra area who has tested positive for coronavirus is not a new case being among the handful of medical personnel who contracted this deadly disease in recent days.
After being alerted by the department the condo management yesterday asked all co-owners and residents to check their temperature regularly and observe their symptoms for 14 days.
