Bangkok logs 702 Covid cases today as national total stands at 8,452 

WHILE coronavirus cases appeared in all 50 Bangkok districts today (Oct. 27) the total dwindled to 702 with the national tally over 24 hours to this morning too having dropped to 8,452 cases, Amarin TV said.

Bangkok authorities are still following the condition of 13 other patients while also revealing that today’s worst infected district is Ladprao with altogether 80 cases.

The metropolis’ 10 worst hit districts today are as follows:

1) Ladprao, 80 cases;

2) Bangbon, 55;

3) Ratchathewi, 48;

4) Khanna Yao, 41;

5) Bang Khae, 33;

6) Prawet, 32;

7) Minburi, 29;

8) Suan Luang, 25;

9) Chatuchak, 21;

10) Khlong Sam Wa, 19.

Meanwhile the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said of today’s 8,452 cases 7,654 emerged in surveillance and service systems, 631 were found through proactive search in communities, 160 got infected in prisons and detention centres while seven foreign arrivals tested positive.

This takes the cumulative confirmed total since the start of the pandemic to 1,875,315.

Another 8,449 patients were cured taking total recoveries since the start of the pandemic to 1,758,297 while 98,096 are still undergoing treatment with 2,355 in severe condition and 534 requiring ventilators.

Today’s 57 fatalities raised the death toll since the onset of the pandemic to 18,922 while 72,049,529 doses of vaccines have been administered so far.
