MOTORISTS are urged to not go through Ratchaprasong intersection this afternoon (Nov. 21) as the “bad students” demonstrators are planning to hold a rally there, Sanook.com reported.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Jirasan Keawsaengek, deputy head of the Metropolitan Police, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Theeraphong Wongratpitak, head of Traffic Police, jointly announced that this group of protesters have said they are gathering at this intersection from 1 p.m. till 9 p.m. today and the roads to avoid are as follows:
– Ratchadamri road (Ratchadamri intersection – Pratunam intersection);
– Rama 1 road (Chalerm Phao intersection – Ratchaprasong intersection);
– Ploenchit road (Ratchaprasong intersection – Chidlom intersection).
Roads that could be used to bypass this key intersection are as follows:
– Ratchaprarop road;
– Petchaburi road;
– Phayathai road;
– Rama 4 road;
– Henri Dunant road;
– Sarasin road;
– Silom Road;
– Sathorn Road;
– Wireless Road;
– Sukhumvit Road;
– Soi Tonson;
– Langsuan road.
