AN opinion survey held by Super Poll and participated by 1,551 Thais nationwide placed Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha at the top of five big names in the government for resolving the Covid-19 outbreak giving him 35.7%, INN News reported today (26.4.2020).
In this survey held during April 22-25 Gen Prayut was followed by Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health minister Anutin Charnvirakul with 29.5%, Energy Minister Sontirat Sontijirawong, 21.4%; Finance Minister Uttama Savanayana, 18.0%; and Interior Minister Gen Anupong Paochinda, 15.5%.
The first of five big names from billionaires and important people those surveyed liked for helping resolve the coronavirus problems is Dhanin Chearavanont of CP Group with 22.4%.
Heis followed by Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, Thai Summit Group,10.0%; Dr Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services and Bangkok Airways, 9.1%; Suphachai Chearavanont, CP Group, 7.4% and Mrs Somporn Juangroongruangkit, Thai Summit Group,7.1%.
Topping the five hospitals selected for taking care of coronavirus patients is Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute with 58.6%.
Placing second is Rajavithi Hospital with 52.9%; followed by Ramathibodi Hospital, 51.4%; Siriraj hospital, 47.1%; and Chulalongkorn Hospital, 43.3%.
Regarding the question what is helping Thailand resolve the Covid-19 pandemic, the majority, totaling 78.6%, gave credit to doctors, nurses and health volunteers for being good and selfless.
Second answer was the “Stay home and stop the spread of the virus for the sake of the nation” measure at 65.7%; followed by Thais are together aware of the problem, 59.5%; Mid- to lower-level Thais look after and help each other, 58.6%; and everyone is scared to death, 56.1%.
