FORMER prime minister-cum-de facto Pheu Thai boss Thaksin Shinawatra, accompanied by his sister/former premier Yingluck Shinawatra and his daughter/former premier Paetongtarn Shinawatra, held talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on the economy yesterday (July 9), Naewna newspaper said.
Indonesian Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya posted a photo and message on his Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet today that the three former Thai prime ministers met the Indonesian leader at the Danantara Building in Jakarta in a warm and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the long-standing friendship between the two countries.
During the discussions Thaksin, who is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the Indonesian National Wealth Fund (Danantara), provided insights and exchanged views with Prabowo and Danantara’s management team on opportunities to strengthen investment, asset management strategies, and long-term growth-oriented national economic development.
Through close interaction with world leaders and key figures, the Indonesian government continues to strengthen its network of friendships and promote the exchange of ideas and experiences. These efforts aim to expand international cooperation and reinforce Indonesia’s position amidst the ever-changing global dynamics.
Danantara’s management team participating in the discussion included Group CEO Rosan Roeslani, COO Doni Oskaria, and CIO Pandu Patria Sjahrir.
