Scammers said to have moved their key base to Laos

AFTER crackdowns in Myanmar, scammers have apparently moved their key base to Vientiane, Laos, where there are several large buildings in a huge new complex, Naewna newspaper and PPTVHD36 said today (Nov. 12).

The “Army Military Force” Facebook page shared photos of the new scam hub with this  message, “A Laotian influencer named ‘Beezychanel’ has published photos of a large scam centre in Vientiane, Laos’ capital. The location is reportedly at kilometre marker 16 on Kaysone Phomvihane Avenue.”

A review of the information revealed that the location was near the Laotian National Stadium, north of Vientiane.

A Google Maps image shows that a group of buildings just opposite the national stadium houses LCM Corporation. Many believe this  is Laos Cyber Management, a state enterprise involved in gaming, online casinos and sports betting.

The influencer also said that this scam centre is controlled by a Laotian political family that still holds power in the country.
