HUNDREDS of Red Shirt activists went to Pheu Thai Party’s head office today (June 27) to encourage Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra amid the current political storm over her recent leaked phone call to Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen and urged her to neither dissolve the House of Representatives and call an election nor resign, Amarin TV said.
More than 500 members of Red Shirt activist groups, including Pheu Thai FC and those from Bangkok’s 50 districts, were received by Pheu Thai MP Mr. Kokaew Pikulthong and Prime Minister’s adviser Mr. Songkram Kitlertpairoj.
They had brought roses and bouquets to give to Paetongtarn in urging her to continue governing the country while wishing her strength and determination to endure the upheaval that followed the phone call. She has been accused of severely breaching political ethics and evident honesty whilst handling Thai-Cambodian border conflict in a disreputable, erroneous fashion largely deemed detrimental to Thailand’s territorial integrity, interests and national prestige.
Kobkaew thanked the Red Shirt activists for their kindness on Paetongtarn’s behalf and also mentioned that Pheu Thai is very grateful to them for standing by the party through thick and thin.
