Blast at Pattani police station, no injuries

MOTORCYCLE-RIDING insurgents flung a pipe bomb at a Pattani police station last evening (Nov. 10) but fortunately the explosive device fell outside the building so no one got injured, Naewna newspaper said this morning.

At 6.45 p.m. Thung Yang Daeng police station was alerted that two insurgents rode up on a motorcycle and parked in front of Nam Dam strategic police station, in Thong Yang Daeng district, then threw a pipe bomb that landed outside the building.

Police said the bombing was an attempt by the insurgents to shake the government. This police station had previously been attacked by insurgents who unleashed gunfire on July 20, 2023 but that time too no one got injured.

All unit heads have been ordered to maintain tighter security and uphold peace and order in the area continuously 24 hours a day and watch out for possibly more incidents.
