Background of Paetongtarn’s husband Pitaka Suksawat

 

WITH de facto Pheu Thai boss Thaksin Shinawatra’s daughter/party leader Paetongtarn Shinawatra being named prime minister at tomorrow’s (Aug. 16) special House session, the spotlight is now on her husband Pitaka Suksawat, Sanook.com said today.

Before the two of them got married in 2019, Pitaka had earned a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.

He then worked as a pilot for a well-known airline but quit his job after marrying Paetongtarn.

He now holds the position of Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Rende Development Co., Ltd. overseeing investment in various fields both in Thailand and overseas.

They were introduced by some friends while studying a special programme and after knowing each other for two years they started dating. A year later Pitaka proposed to Paetongtarn and the two of them were wed on March 17, 2019.

They now have two children, an older daughter and a younger son.
