HM King endorses cabinet, special meeting on Wednesday

UPON His Majesty the King endorsing new cabinet members nominated by Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, who concurrently serves as finance minister, yesterday (Sept. 1) with the list announced in the Royal Gazette today, a special cabinet meeting has been arranged for Wednesday (Sep. 6), Naewna newspaper said.

It is still being considered where in the Government House this special cabinet meeting is to take place to finalise a policy statement to be delivered at Parliament on Friday (Sep. 8).

Excluding this special meeting, the first working cabinet meeting will take place as had been earlier announced the following Tuesday (Sept. 12).

It was reported that Dr. Phrommin Lertsuridet, chairman of the Pheu Thai policy committee and the secretary-general to the Prime Minister, had called the coalition parties to the special cabinet meeting  to discuss the policy statement which has already been drafted with talks to focus broadly on each party’s policies.
