Sam Mit group not leaving Palang Pracharath

By Thai Newsroom Reporters

SAM MIT GROUP leader Suriya Juangroongruangkit today (Feb.7) categorically denied Sam Mit co-leader Somsak Thepsuthin and he himself will sooner than later depart from the Palang Pracharath Party for another camp.

Suriya who concurrently performs as industry minister confirmed Somsak who concurrently acts as justice minister and he himself will certainly continue to stay with the ruling Palang Pracharath, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan who is running in the next general election as partisan contestant for prime minister.

Somsak who is seeking re-election alongside Suriya under the Palang Pracharath banners remains as head of the party’s strategic campaigns.

Suriya’s comments were apparently made in response to speculation that he and Somsak would finally defect from Prawit’s camp to the Pheu Thai to help make the latter’s speculation of a landslide victory in the nationwide election come true.

Meanwhile, Suriya confirmed Sam Mit member Anucha Nakhasai who concurrently acts as minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office will leave for the Ruam Thai Sang Chart which is sending Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha as partisan contender for prime minister.
