Prawit denies meeting Thaksin in UK

DEPUTY Prime Minister/Palang Pracharath Party leader Prawit Wongsuwan strongly denied meeting former prime minister Thaksin Shinawater in the UK over a telephone interview this afternoon (Apr. 21), Matichon said.

Gen. Prawit quashed rumours that he had travelled aboard to meet Thaksin, saying they did not meet because they were in different countries.

He added that he had not met Thaksin since 2005 when he was the army commander-in-chief.

He also explained that his absence was due to having taken leave to go see a doctor at a hospital for a checkup while confirming he had not travelled anywhere.
