Bangkok still tops Covid list as daily tally continues to drop

WHILE the daily Covid count has continued to drop with today’s (Dec. 3) total being 4,912 cases and 33 deaths, Bangkok remains the worst affected zone topping the list of 10 provinces reporting the most cases over the past 24 hours, Amarin TV said.

The list of today’s 10 worst-hit provinces as revealed by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) is as follows: 

1) Bangkok 685 cases, altogether 424,331;

2) Nakhon Si Thammarat 414 cases, altogether 41,616;

3) Songkhla 312 cases, altogether 61,854;

4) Pattani 209 cases, altogether 46,247;

5) Surat Thani 181 cases, altogether 26,066;

6) Chiang Mai 179 cases, altogether 26,757;

7) Chonburi 177 cases, altogether 108,151;

8) Samut Prakan 116 cases, altogether 129,015;

9) Khon Kaen 103 cases, altogether 22,619;

10) Yala 103 cases, altogether 47,123.

Of today’s 4,912 cases, 4,606 emerged in surveillance and healthcare systems, 136 were found through proactive search in communities, 157 fell sick in prisons and detention centres while 13 foreign arrivals tested positive.

This takes the cumulative confirmed total since April 1 to 2,101,778.

Another 5,844 patients were cured taking total recoveries since April 1 to 2,009,574 while 72,761 are still undergoing treatment.
