THE Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced today (June 30) that there were 1,583 new cases over the past 24 hours, down from 1,871 yesterday, but the death toll rose to 15 from 10 yesterday, Amarin TV said.
This took the cumulative confirmed total to 65,153 while the overall death toll now stands at 203.
The number of people vaccinated against this disease also increased to 1,411,614.
Another 860 patients have been cured adding up to 36,254 who have been released from hospital while 28,696 are still undergoing treatment with 871 in severe condition and 250 using ventilators.
Except for four overseas arrivals who were quarantined, the rest were all domestic cases with 1,366 emerging in service systems and 213 found through proactive search in communities.
Another 16,035 people got their first jab of the vaccine, taking the total to 1,075,756 who have done so.
Altogether 50,393 people got their second jab, adding up to 335,858 who have got both shots.
Globally at 11 a.m. today there were altogether 151,141,668 coronavirus cases with 128,549,571 patients cured and 3,179,474 fatalities.
Meanwhile 15 provinces have put out a request for the people to not leave their homes during different times at night unless necessary with the Interior Ministry releasing this provincial list where strict control measures, similar to a curfew, are now in place.
