THAILAND logged 130 coronavirus cases in the past day to late this morning (Feb. 19) with there being one additional death taking the toll to 83, Sanook.com said.
The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration’s (CCSA’s) assistant spokeswoman Dr. Apisamai Srirangsan said the addition of 130 new patients takes the cumulative confirmed cases to 25,241 with 24,070 having recovered while 1,088 are still hospitalized.
The latest person to die from this feared disease is Dr Panya Harnphanichphan, 66, who got infected at a kitty party in Maha Sarakham province. He was also suffering from prostate cancer, hyperlipidemia and pulmonary embolism.
Of the 130 new cases, 116 emerged domestically, with 61 appearing in surveillance and service systems and 55 found through proactive search in communities.
There were 14 overseas travellers who have entered state quarantine. Three each came from Denmark and the United Arab Emirates, two each from Germany and Myanmar, and one each from Italy, Kuwait, US, and Cameroon.
