Klong Toey market shut for 3 days after coronavirus case emerges

KLONG TOEY district office ordered the closure of Klong Toey market for three day from Jan. 13 till 8 p.m. Jan. 16 after a vegetable vendor was found to be infected with Covid-19, Amarin TV reported.

Another 14 people are at high-risk of catching this infection through exposure to this vendor.

This new coronavirus case was found after Mr. Wanlop Suwandee, chief advisor to Bangkok Governor, launched his “Kick-off Activity to Clean Klong Toey Market and Remove Covid-19” together with Klong Toey district office chief Ms. Piyathida Niyom and the management team of Klong Toey Market (2008) Company Limited.

Merchants and stall owners participated in cleaning up the market according to sanitation principles to build up confidence and ensure the safety of people who shop and work there.
