DEPUTY Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said in a Facebook post that as instructed by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha he has been negotiating with all Covid-19 vaccine manufacturers and has secured 2 million doses for delivery during February-April 2021, Amarin TV reported today (Dec. 31, 2020).
He added that he has reported the result of the negotiations with these manufacturers to the Prime Minister who fully supports this acquisition, particularly where budget is concerned.
Quickly obtaining the vaccine is essential with a new outbreak spreading in the country and relevant agencies have been ordered to expedite the process of vaccinating people in the risk groups.
More talks are being held to get the most vaccine doses as quickly as possible for the safety of the people in this country which is the most important task of the government right now, he said.
