THAI Airways International Plc (THAI) opted for an auspicious moment, 11.11, to launch TG Warehouse Sale in an effort to reduce its stocks with plenty of products from toothpicks to airplanes being sold online, Sanook.com reported this afternoon (Nov. 11, 2020).
Under its sales promotion, with the tagline being “buy a box at a lower price”, the national airline said all its products are brand new except for aircraft, which are second-hand.
A total of 11 types of products were put up for sale today and among them are Melamine coffee cups, Japanese tea cups, paper napkins, food warming foil, toothpicks and dental floss with THAI going to gradually offer more than 400 items it wants to sell.
The TG Warehouse Sale’s Facebook page gave this explanation, “It has been over six months since Thai Airways stopped serving passengers due to the Covid-19 crisis.
“The TG Warehouse Sale project was initiated by the management to more efficiently use in-flight products, for example dishes and utensils, and keep them at a level more suitable for the number of flights that are expected to drop significantly over the next 1-2 years.”
A number of volunteer employees, such as pilots and crew members, worked together in creating this show by making a list of the products to sell and photographing them with there being over 400 items prepared for sale to any interested party.
THAI added that buyers would not only receive quality products that the airline uses on its passenger flights, they would also be helping strengthen the finances of the national airline.
