560 high-risk individuals in Rayong, Bangkok pass Covid-19 test

CLEARED of Covid-19 infection are 560 out of a total 1,644 high-risk individuals tested both in Rayong and Bangkok with the results of the rest still awaited, Sanook.com reported this afternoon (July 15, 2020).

Deputy Minister of Public Health Sathit Pitutecha wrote and posted on his Facebook page an account of latest test results both in Rayong, where an infected Egyptian soldier stayed last week, and Bangkok, where the nine-year-old daughter of a Sudanese diplomat was found to have been infected after reaching Thailand and going to stay at a condominium in Sukhumvit soi 26.

In Rayong a total of 1,336 people have been tested divided as follows:

Passione Shopping Destination (previously called Laemthong) – 886 people;

Central Department Store – 447 people;

Three Rayong natives tested in Bangkok after being contacted via SMS.

Of this total, the results of 416 are out and none are infected with the results of 920 others still being processed.

Where Bangkok is concerned, a total of 267 people living in the condominium in Sukhumvit soi 26 were tested and the results of 144 have come out and there is no infection.

Altogether 394 people were contacted by SMS via the Thai Chana system to undergo this test and 41 who showed up have been cleared. More are steadily coming in.

Regarding this case of two infected persons, one in Bangkok and one in Rayong, so far 1,644 people have been tested and 560 have been cleared as of 2.30 p.m. today, according to the Department of Disease Control.
