THE FAMILY of a famous Dutch television host who has been missing in Thailand under mysterious circumstances for nearly two years is offering 2,500 euros (approximately 94,210 baht) for any information on helping finding him, Amarin TV and Naewna newspaper said today (Oct. 24).
Phuket Times online media shared the appeal to help find Mr. Emile Ratelband, as well as his partner Ms. Natalia da Silva, with his disappearance having gained significant interest in the Netherlands.
Ratelband, a Dutch motivational speaker, previously made global headlines for his legal attempt to reduce his official age by 20 years.
His family said that they have had no direct contact with him for nearly two years. His son, Rolls, and daughter, Minou, have each travelled to Thailand in search of answers, yet neither has been able to determine his exact location.
The family said they had occasionally received messages via WhatsApp claiming that he is ill and requesting financial assistance. However, these messages have failed to provide the same level of reassurance as a direct conversation, leaving his relatives uncertain about his current well-being and living conditions.
Recent media reports suggest that relevant Thai authorities may have been in contact with Ratelband; however, his family states that they have yet to see any video allegedly recorded during such contact, and they remain deeply concerned.
For Rolls and Minou, this uncertainty is a source of great distress. They wish to know their father’s whereabouts, whether he is safe, and if he is in need of any assistance.
They urged those who have direct information regarding the recent whereabouts or well-being of Ratelband to contact his family at the address below. They request that if possible, include the date and any verifiable details.
