IT APPEARS that Prime Minister/Interior Minister/Bhumjaithai leader Anutin Charnvirakul and Klatham boss/leader Thammanat Prompao enjoyed a pleasant political dinner at an Indian restaurant in the heart of Sukhumvit recently with Bhumjaithai MP Chada Thaiseth and Ms. Traisulee Traisoranakul, secretary to the Prime Minister and Bhumjaithai registrar, joining them, Naewna newspaper and Amarin TV said this evening (Oct. 17).
The Facebook page for Punjab Grill Bangkok, an Indian restaurant located within the Radisson Suites Bangkok in Sukhumvit Soi 13, shared a photo of the four of them together with the head chef and staff with the caption saying that it was an honour welcoming them.
Anutin and Thammanat’s casual ge-together took place amid ongoing rumours that Klatham, currently viewed as “independent” unattached to to either side of the House chamber’s aisle after being kicked out of the opposition bloc, would cast votes of confidence for Anutin and all other Bhumjaithai-attached members of cabinet targeted under a censure motion with the marathon debate scheduled to take place during Oct. 27-29 followed by voting on Oct. 30.
It is rumored that a cabinet reshuffle will take place after this censure debate, with Klatham likely joining the government.
Klatham’s anticipated votes of confidence for all targeted members of cabinet would be decidedly necessary for sheer survival of the Bhumjaithai-led coalition government because the Pheu Thai could possibly abstain from either voting for or against them following the marathon censure debate, partisan sources said.
De facto Pheu Thai boss/former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra could possibly instruct all Pheu Thai MPs to ironically abstain from voting whilst talking Thammanat into rejecting the opportunity to jump onto the post-censure, Bhumjaithai bandwagon of government supposedly to replace the Pheu Thai so that the prime minister would be unavoidably pressed to step down and put an end to the “Blue” regime, they said.
