By Thai Newsroom Reporters

FORMER THAMMASAT University dean Anuchart Puangsamlee was today (Jan.7) introduced as the People’s pick for education minister if the reformist camp eventually becomes core of a government after the Feb.8 election.

Anuchart, a former dean of Thammasat University’s Faculty of Learning Science & Education, was formally introduced as education minister under a People’s-led government, given his proven qualifications not only as a high-level educator but a practitioner of lifetime learning for the people regardless of their age.

The ex-Thammasat learning science & education dean will aim at creating an environment in which students of varied ages will be practically tempted to pursue happy, meaningful studies whilst diversity in learning methods and branches of knowledge will be promoted.

Anuchart insisted that it is high time the Ministry of Education distributed administrative powers to schools at all levels throughout the country whilst mutual trust between teachers, students and their guardians will be sustainably promoted.

The People’s candidate for education minister is currently chair of Thammasat University’s Demonstrative School board of directors and a former dean of Mahidol University’s Faculty of Environment & Resources Science.

Unlike all other contesting camps, the People’s are unveiling their candidates handpicked by the reformist camp to assume respective portfolios on the basis of putting the right man on the right job if the People’s are eventually given the opportunity to run the country following the nationwide election.

In case of the other parties, it will be usually, entirely up to anyone’s guess as to who among their respective rank and file will take charge of any portfolios of a post-election cabinet.
