The following key issues were discussed and agreed upon:
1/ Confirmation of the RBC meeting;
2/ The date and time for the meeting was set for Oct. 15-17, 2025.
3/ This meeting is to take place at Chong Chom permanent border crossing in Kab Choeng district, Surin province, with Cambodia being the primary host.
4/ The agenda includes relocating heavy weapons to their normal positions and cooperating in mine clearing on humanitarian-ground with the meeting to take place under observation of the coordinating group (CG).
The RBC meeting is an important forum for building cooperation, enhancing understanding and maintaining peace and order in the Thai-Cambodian border area, enabling the people of both countries to coexist in stability and peace.
The Second Army Region urged the public to be confident that the Thai side will proceed with prudence and determination to fully protect the country’s interests, the safety of its people, and the sovereignty of Thailand.
The Second Army Region also said that some Cambodian movements were detected today, with three drones seen at Chon An Ma, one at Chong Don Ao, two at Prasat Ta Kwai, and seven at Chong Obok. White smoke was also detected behind Phu Phi, suspected to be a warm-up of stationary tanks. A large 22-wheel truck covered with a black tarp was detected heading toward the border area, suspected to be carrying military equipment.
Currently, both forces remain stationary along their respective positions. The Thai side has deployed personnel at surveillance points to monitor the opposing side’s movements and prepare for counter-offensive actions.
