A FIRE broke out at a shopping mall in Bangkok’s Pratunam area this afternoon (Aug. 23) but was quickly brought under control with there being no injuries, Amarin TV said.
At 2.19 p.m. the Fire Department’s 199 hotline got an emergency call of a fire breaking out at this well-known shopping mall with smoke spreading through the complex triggering panic as shoppers and workers rushed out.
Firemen from Phaya Thai Fire and Rescue Station arrived there at 2.32 p.m. and quickly extinguished the blaze which had erupted at a pile of clothing in a shop on the third floor.
Police are investigating this fire.
