Another accident near deadly bus plunge spot

ANOTHER accident took place just 200 metres away from the spot where a double-decker bus plunged off a road while coming downhill in Prachin Buri before dawn today (Feb. 26) killing 19 people and injuring 30 others with this time involving two men jumping off a pickup truck hit by a brake problem and getting injured, Amarin TV said.

Satcha Putthatham Foundation volunteers were driving behind this pickup truck on Road 304 at Khao San Pu Ton mountain when they saw the driver waving to them to overtake, so they did so. A little while later at around 4.30 p.m. they got a message that there had been an accident on this same road.

When they drove back they saw it was the same pickup truck they had passed which had rammed against the mountain side at an emergency stop near a cliff.

The driver and his passenger had jumped off the vehicle with faulty brake system as they approached  the emergency stop area with one injuring his arm and the other his leg and both taken to Nadi Hospital for treatment.
