THE DRIVER of a sedan got injured after hitting two vehicles on the bridge over Rama 5 roundabout, in Bang Kruai district, Nonthaburi, and plunging down almost seven metres to the road below, Naewna newspaper said today (May 26).

A team of policemen from Bang Kruai station together with Ruam Katanyu Foundation rescuers rushed to the scene of the accident and quickly took the injured driver of the badly-damaged Honda Jazz sedan, Mr. Nattawut (surname withheld), 21, to Wachira Hospital for medical treatment.

On this bridge they found an Isuzu pick-up truck, with rear and front right side dented and a little further away a Mitsubishi van with the rear and front left side likewise dented.

A dash cam on a vehicle following these three vehicles showed that the sedan first collided with the pickup truck after that the van which led to the driver losing control and crashing off the bridge.

Ms. Bangor, 38, said she was sitting in the Isuzu pickup truck with her boyfriend driving the vehicle on the left lane of the bridge as they were moving to descend and go home when she felt their vehicle being rear-ended.

She then saw the sedan losing control and hitting another vehicle in the middle lane before somersaulting and flying off the bridge.

Police have collected video clips from the vehicle following behind and a surveillance camera on the bridge as evidence and will be questioning Nuttawut after he recovers from his injuries.
