Foreigner dies at Chon Buri massage parlour

CHON BURI police are investigating the mysterious death of a 70-year-old foreign man at a Bang Lamung district health massage parlour today (Jan. 28) but there were no traces of violence, TV Channel 7 said.

At 4 p.m. today Pol. Lt. Col. Teetat Trunjan, an investigator at Nong Prue police station, was informed of the death of an unidentified foreign man, believed to be British, at the massage parlour in Soi Khao Talo 9/1 and rushed there together with rescuers from Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan foundation.

At the shop they found the foreign man dead on a massage bed. Police checked the premises but found no signs of foul play. The deceased man had not brought identification papers along with him.

Ms. Oraya, 39, a massage therapist, said the client came in to use their service for the first time today and they had never seen him before.

During the massage it looked as if he had fallen asleep and started snoring, which everyone there thought was abnormal, after which he started gasping for breath and then went still. They tried giving him cardiopulmonary resuscitation but without success so quickly notified the police.

Initially, police have contacted the deceased man’s wife to check his identification papers. As the cause of death is unclear his body is being sent for an autopsy to gain clarity.
